- Onion Patties from Santorini island

Onion Patties from Santorini island, Mediterranean Diet, Santorini recipe,

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kilo onions 
  • 1/2 kilo flour self rising
  • 1 1/2 -2 cups fresh mint, chopped 
  • Οregano
  • Salt, some freshly ground pepper 
  • ^eleon^ extra virgin olive oil   $  for frying

 

Preparation:

  1. Grate half the onions and chop the rest into the blender
  2. In a large bowl mix all the ingredients and add a few tablespoons of water to make a slurry tight.  
  3. Heat enough oil in a deep pan and add spoonfuls of the swill.  
  4. When browned, turn them carefully on the other side. 
  5. Touching them on absorbent paper.
