- After washing the lentils well, boil them in a pan with water for 10 minutes.
- Strain off the liquid and add fresh water to cover.
- Add the finely chopped onion, puree, salt and pepper, bay leaf and olive oil.
- Leave to cook until the lentils have softened and the sauce has thickened.
